The Society for education and Rehabilitation of the disabled shortly called has SERD has been established and registered at Suryapet, District of Telangana state during the year 2002 and Telangana Area Registration No. 1350 Fasil and Registered under Section 52 of persons with Disabilities Act 1995/2016 with aim and objectives to promote the Education Employment vocational Training and Rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities services and needy and distress irrespective of caste, creed , region and religion. It is in rural, backward and Fluorosis effected area and rendering the yeoman service to promote the cause of the physically challenged Children since 2002.
Our organization has established the school of hearing Impaired children up to 7th class which is called “Apoorva Residential Special School for the Deaf and MR” mentally challenged children which is located at Suryapet under the leadership of differently abled persons. The total number of hearing impaired children are 55 in which 36 are boys and 19 girls respectively and qualified staff. Our organization has been providing the residential facilities with the help of donors, NGOs.
Moreover, our organization has NOT been getting grain-in-aid /funds either from any Central Government / State Government or any other funding sources. There is a more 200 children aged (0 to 14) years demand and requests are coming from the parents of hearing impaired children of this locality for admission into our school. Moreover, out institute having own permanent building & full pledged class rooms and infrastructure along with qualified trained teachers and having barrier free environment to run the school in effective way.
The school has been running for special residential school for physically challenged children without any Grant-in-Aid from Govt. in the last 13 years. Nearly 311 physically challenged children (2 to 14) years are out of the school. The organization is manned by person with disabilities.
To promote the education employment, vocational training & Rehabilitation for special schools with Disabilities, needy and distress irrespective of caste, creed, sects, region and religion. To develop and support sustainable programs for better education, quality healthcare.
Our primary mission is to provide SEVA to under privileged people. SEVA is a word derived from Sanskrit language, meaning "selfless service". Save the children works to build a world where every child attains the right to survival, Protection, development and Participation.
